good morning! er, afternoon.
i spent a good portion of the day being a geek. a literature geek. i alphabetized my books. it ended up taking me days. days. that's a lot of books. steve mocked me. and the kitty "helped" by... well, she was there for moral support.
met up with esther, and dropped off the many, many, many, many books she'd used for her final papers at the marriott library on the u of u campus. it was very quiet there. the sound of thousands of students sleeping is silence.
next? sugarhouse! on the sunday before christmas! my god, the humanity. the humanity.
after shop shop shopping (i found a red tube top for $1.99!) we went to blue plate for some well deserved fries and veggie sausage. mmmm, veggie sausage...
and then more shopping. at brickyard, my old stomping ground. ross dress for less smells funny. and i found purple gloves. esther did not buy this bling.
next i made esther drive me down 300 west to take photos of all the neon i drive passed on a daily basis. it was glorious. glorious. and cold.
i love this sign. and i didn't get shanked while taking this photo.
next? the temple. why? why not. there were pretty lights. and stereotypes!
and then... it was cold. so we went to nostalgia for some coffee. it's pretty great there. you should check it out.
they also have a giant chess set. giant! esther checked me. then mated.
while taking this photo some guy inside thought i was taking a photo of him. which i wasn't. egoist!
the end!
oh, and yes, i'm aware that i broke my own "maximum of 15 photos rule." i'm the blog boss. i do as i please.
as always i took too many pictures. you can see them all here.
thanks for playing!

it's another one day photo post! but in a much more timely manner. i swear, the things you can get done when you're not putting off homework.

the first productive thing i did that sunday was make holiday themed treats for co-workers and friends alike.
rice crispy treats with fruity pebbles in a vague starlike shape! general consensus - delicious.
3 hours and too much sugared rice cereal to mention later, i clean myself up and get ready to go out.
my newest threadless tee shirt - the graphic on it is so huge my boobs look frightening.
i pick up jessica and we go to the library to drop off many many many many many books used for research.
time for holiday themed consumerism!
the anticipation of an overcrowded old navy frightens us.
while we were there, we saw my dad! he's so awesome.
jessica noted how expressive he is, but he doesn't like having his picture taken, so you'll just have to imagine it.
he was there looking for the same thing i was - gloves! but we couldn't find any and i vowed to buy him some that night. we measured hand sizes and his are just a little bit bigger than mine, which means either he has lady hands or i have man hands.
but first, to eat.
jessica and tabasco at the blue plate diner. i don't claim to understand it.
we went to tjmaxx afterwards and i found gloves for my dad! $9.99!
jessica has a thing for neon. i chauffered.
peterbilt girl
yo elect! my favorite sign of the night.
on to temple square!
srsly, vegas for mormons.
i'm going to assume you've already read my racist nativity post so please enjoy these photos while i quietly fume.
jessica, her devil head and the nativity. speaks for itself, doesn't it?
bokeh!
reppin' my caricaturized pan-ethnic peeps.
kiwi. argh.
we escaped the bitter cold and oppression to nostalgia coffee shop for warmth and easy listening jazz.
breakfast at tiffany's cupcake ala mini's (?)
jessica and i play a rousing game of chess. i checkmated her.

i'm sitting next to santa claus if he went on atkins, took up hiking and ran an internet business.
then i went home, exhausted. but when i tried to go to sleep all the sugar from the three ultra sweet cokes i'd had at 5:30pm at dinner (yes, dinner at 5:30, i am 65 years old) i couldn't so i just stared into space until i woke up the next morning.

Quantized pictures of Tony's Solstice
Well, the day started out rather boring. My day like every other started out in my room. Here are some of those sights. they include: 2 odd mask faces that I found in a surf shop in Cali, and a globe I got as a white elephant gift:
From Russia with love and I had to run around some, and I snapped these of a construction site and some traffic:
Then I had to go to work. So here are some bland pics of the office on a Sunday:
Our new break room:
Is that the surface of the Moon?!?!? No, just snow... my Kryptonite:

These were ones that From Russia with Love took. Here I am getting into my pocket after a rinning phone:
And here are her cute eyes in the mirror:
And that's the show folks! Untill next Month!
